Nominations can now be submitted for the 2018 Tulip Queen.
Head of the Tulip Queen Committee Lori Lourens tells KNIA/KRLS News that forms are available to nominate high school seniors to be part of the Tulip Queen selection process. Lourens says the girls can be attending Pella, Pella Christian, or homeschool, but must be living in the Pella School District. Forms can be submitted at the Pella HyVee, Pella Historical Society, Marion County Bank, or the Pella Fareway by Tuesday, September 26th.
The final list of nominees will be released in October and then 12 finalists will be selected to perform at the Tulip Queen’s Announcement Party at Pella High School on November 11th.
Nominees must:
– be a high school senior
– be 17 years old by May 1, 2018
– have a permanent home address in the Pella School District
– live with a parent or legal guardian
– be unmarried
