The Knoxville Football Squad suffered a disheartening loss to Nevada last night as the Panthers threw two pick sixes and two of the Cubs four touchdowns were on the defensive side of the ball and that was enough to defeat the Panthers 28-14 as heard on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA. Knoxville found itself down 21/nothing before the Panthers scored just before halftime on a Rylan Cox 21 yard pass from Jacob Zuck…Cox would help close the gap down to seven as he took an interception back 40 yards for a score…but Nevada scored again with just under five minutes remaining to seal the win. Coach Eric Kellar told KNIA/KRLS Sports…the two interceptions cost his team dearly. Zuck was harassed all night by Nevada’s defense and was held to just 34 yards on 15 carries. Knoxville falls to two-and-two on the season and will face Carlisle next Friday.
