Mike Marlar lead the final eight laps and became the first driver in the 14 year history of the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway to win back-to-back titles. Everyone was chasing Josh Richards as he set a furious pace after taking the lead on lap 18 and held it until Marlar passed him on lap 92. Jonathan Davenport was second with Jared Landers in third place. Drivers had to wait out a two hour rain delay between the B and A-Mains as track crews kept the track surface from not sealing over.
