Everyone in the Pella community this weekend is invited to enjoy activities in the downtown area during the 3rd annual Hersft Feest this Saturday.
Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance Events Coordinator Sarah Treft tells KNIA/KRLS News numerous activities for all ages will take place in the central business district from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
7am – 11am Poffertjes by Kiwanis (E 1st)
9am – 11am MH4H 5K Color Blast Run at Trinity Reformed Church (supports Many Hands 4 Haiti)
9am – 12pm Farmer’s Market (West side of the Square)
9am – 5pm Stores open for shopping
9am – 10am Caricatures (outside of Vermeer Windmill) free
10am – 12pm Face painting (outside Vermeer Windmill) free
10am – 4pm Historical Village Tours and Artisan Demonstrations (Vermeer Mill and Pella Historical Village Museum)
10am – 4pm Horse-drawn carriage rides (loading area E 1st & Franklin Streets) $5/adults; $2 children
11am Food Competition: Anything Apple (entry deadline 10:30 am back of Tulip Toren)
12pm Food Competition: Best Salsa (entry deadline 11:30 am back of Tulip Toren)
1pm – 4pm Caricatures (outside of Vermeer Windmill) free
4pm – 9pm Live Music with Candid Kid (Ben Muller) at Cellar Peanut Pub (21 yrs and older)
4:30pm – 10:30pm Marching Dutch Invitational Band Competition (Pella High School)
Additionally, Many Hands for Haiti is hosting their 5th annual Color Blast 5K at 9 a.m. at Trinity Reformed Church, with proceeds benefiting their ministry.
