The 2017 Farm Crawl will take place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Farm Crawl,in its 11th year, attracts over 1,500 visitors to a small circle of farms in south-central Iowa each year. Seven independent family farms will jointly host open houses Sunday including the Blue Gate Farm, Coyote Run Farm, Crooked Gap Farm, Pierce’s Pumpkin Patch, Schneider Orchard, Trojan Iron Works, and White Breast Pottery and Weaving. Attendees will be able to tour the farms, visit the animals, meet the farmers, sample the different foods, and discover locally grown produce while having fun in the Marion County and Lucas County countryside. Entrance to all of the farms is free. The 2017 farm crawl is sponsored by Practical Farmers of Iowa and South Central Coop.
