A Central College alumus shared his talents on a national stage this week.

Chris Weaver, a 2010 graduate, sang Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness” in Monday night’s episode of The Voice, and was selected by celebrity judge Jennifer Hudson to compete on season 13 of the show.

According to Central College, Weaver was a member of the Central A Cappella Choir, Chamber Singers, and Vocal and Instrument Combos, as well as Campus Ministries during his time on campus.
