Looking to gain course knowledge, the Central College women’s golf team triumphed over the 11-team field at the Simpson College Fall Invitational Wednesday afternoon.

Central won the 18-hole event with a four-player score of 329. Tournament host Simpson was right behind the Dutch at 331 on the par-71 Indianola Country Club, which will host of the final two rounds of the Iowa Conference Championships.

The first two rounds will be played at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Cedar Falls this Friday and Saturday.

On Wednesday, Central’s Brittany Coppess earned a tie for second with a 77 in the 60-player field.
