It wasn’t as easy as many Pella Christian fans expected, but when it was all said and done, the Eagles earned a 62-21 road victory last night over Woodward Academy in a game heard live on our KRLS2 stream at www.kniakrls.com.

Hayden Vroom ran for 163 yards and four touchdowns, and threw for 71 yards and a score to lead the Pella Christian offense.

Coach Rich Karmarysnki says that he continues to get better behind center week after week.

“There were times tonight where he basically said ‘hey, we’re going to the end zone’, and I was really proud of that. He’s got the mentality and the leadership, and he’s making better reads because of all the reps he’s getting.”

Vroom’s touchdown pass was to Noah Treimer, who finished the night with 170 yards from scrimmage and two scores.

The Eagles are now 6-0 on the season, 4-0 in district play, and will spend the week preparing for next week’s district title tilt against Pleasantville.
