As part of their policy and planning meeting following regular business this Tuesday, the Pella City Council will discuss revisions to their employee compensation plan.

According to city staff, a study was conducted this fall with Condrey and Associates to develop guidelines for city employee salaries. Overall, the goal of the new wage scales is to reward city workers for tenure and exceptional job reviews.

The Pella City Council will discuss their plan to implement potential changes, including presentations to the workforce, a potential adoption by the Pella City Council in December, and additional training in the spring. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
