Due to phone line repairs at the Mahaska County Law Center, all non-emergency phone circuits will be out of service Saturday, October 7th, starting at 6:00am.
This outage may range from 2-3 hours, and Mahaska County Emergency Management says it is something that must be done to update the lines that provide phone service. Anyone trying to call any of the non-emergency phone numbers for the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office or Oskaloosa Police Department may not get through. Those with concerns can contact the Mahaska County 911 Communications Facebook page for direct response (https://www.facebook.com/mcema911/) or stop by the Mahaska County Law Center and talk to dispatch directly. This outage will not affect 911 service for the county, and county officials ask that 911 lines remain only for emergencies only during the outage.
