The Knoxville Football Squad will welcome North Polk into Historic Ken Locke Stadium Friday night for homecoming activities. The Panthers have given up a combined 851 rushing yards the past two weeks to Carlisle and Pella. North Polk also has a potent running game, but it is in one player, Mason Russell, who has churned up 867 yards on the ground. Panthers Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, his team will need to stop Russell and North Polk’s run game to be successful. North Polk also has a potent throwing game, but that could be in question as the Comets starting signal caller was injured in their game last week against Carlisle. No word yet if he will be able to play. You can hear the game live on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA Friday at 7:30.
