The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session tomorrow.
The board will hold a discussion and take possible action regarding a request from the Baty Tucker Post 168 in Knoxville to transfer Marion County property lying adjacent to the Knoxville Memorial Hall. The board will hear an update from E911 board members regarding a communications system project as well as consider a special events application for the Lighted Parade and Living Windows.They will consider the appointment of Steve Klein to the Marion County Pioneer Cemetery Commission as well as discuss and take possible action regarding Marion County Senior Nutrition’s Knoxville site for kitchen repairs. They will also discuss possible action regarding Marion County Senior Nutrition staff. The board will consider a resolution approving a 28E agreement for public works mutual assistance for the counties of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Story and Warren and the cities within such counties. The board will hold a public hearing regarding the road reclassification to level C for 50th Avenue. The board will hold another public hearing to discuss the possible vacating of segments of Harrison Street. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Marion County Courthouse.
