The Pella City Council will review a resolution approving continued municipal airport management with Classic Aviation at their meeting this evening.
The five-year proposal maintains existing compensation for the organization responsible for all maintenance and operation activity at the city’s airport, with an annual four percent increase.
A liquor license renewal for The Lamppost Lounge is also on the agenda, with city staff recommending two options for council — denial, based on past alcohol related incidents and no-compliance with city code, or conditional approval of the license, if the Pella City Council intends to increase the number of special use permits available at a later meeting.
Following regular business, the council is planning to discuss potential renovations to the Sunken Gardens Windmill, the Oostpoort Alley reconstruction project, and a potential brewpub zoning ordinance. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the public safety complex on Liberty Street.
