The Pella City Council began discussing the first of many downtown infrastructure projects at their policy and planning meeting this week.
City Administrator Mike Nardini tells KNIA/KRLS News council began looking at plans to renovate the Oostpoort alleyway. Nardini says extensive work needs to be done to update the infrastructure underneath the alley. The council is also considering a brick overlay as part of plans for a back-to-brick streetscape project along Franklin Street in 2019 and 2020.
The overall cost of the project is expected to exceed just over $1 million, and will be completed next summer.
