The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum held their Topping Out Party Thursday as Neumann Brothers Construction placed the final beam in place for the Bryan Clauson Suite Tower Project.
Prior to the beam being secured, everyone in attendance was given the chance to sign the beam. Bryan Clauson’s former team owners Richard and Jennifer Marshall, as well as Clauson’s fiance Lauren Stewart all spoke during the event. Executive Director of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Bob Baker tells KNIA/KRLS News the placing of the beam is a great step forward for the hall of fame and the city of Knoxville. Baker says the structure when completed will be the second tallest building in Knoxville and he says it is great to see the racing community come together with the people of Knoxville to help get the tower complete. Construction for the project will continue throughout the winter, with the tower to be completed by April of 2018, in time for next seasons’ opening races at the Knoxville Raceway.
