A freeze warning is in place for all of Iowa early Saturday morning as temperatures will dip well below freezing for the first time this season.
According to the National Weather Service, morning lows will drop to the upper 20s throughout most of the region. Typically, the first hard freeze typically happens in the last week of October. However, there has yet to be frost reported in the area.
Even colder temperatures are in the forecast Sunday morning, and a much cooler trend of highs in the 40s and 50s will be in place through the end of next week.
