The Knoxville Police Department and the Knoxville School District recently teamed up to provide Eddie Eagle gun safety training to students.
The Eddie Eagle GunSafe program is a gun accident prevention program that seeks to help parents, law enforcement, community groups and educators navigate a topic paramount to children’s safety. School Resource Officer Kyle Keller tells KNIA/KRLS News guns are everywhere in society so the police department and the school district want to inform students about the right things to do when they come across a gun, with the emphasis on leaving it alone and informing an adult.
