The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about the dangers of drinking and driving during “Thanksgiving Eve.”
According to the sheriff’s office “Thanksgiving Eve” or the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, has become one of the year’s biggest drinking days. Whether it’s young people home from college or adults who know they have the next day off from work, Thanksgiving Eve has contributed to a rise in drunk driving deaths around the holiday. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to be responsible this holiday season and think ahead. Always designate a sober driver before drinking.
