From the Pella Police Department:

On November 29, 2017, at approximately 10:55 a.m. the Pella Police Department received a 911 call concerning a potential threat near Pella Community High School.

Information given to law enforcement gave reason to activate an external threat lockdown of Pella High School.

The persons of interest were quickly located by Pella officers, and the threat was determined to no longer be credible and the lockdown was allowed to expire.

The Pella Police Department wishes to let members of the community know that measures were taken out of an abundance of caution and there was no imminent risk to students.
