The Knoxville Public Library is offering residents a way to help purchase books for the library while honoring the memories of past loved ones during the holiday season.

Currently the library has a Christmas Tree of Books set up in the children’s area of the library. Children’s Librarian Holly Shelford tells KNIA/KRLS News anyone can come in, pick out a book they would like to purchase from the tree and then donate it to the library to give the gift of reading to everyone. According to Library Director Roslin Thompson the library has received dozens of books over the years through the Christmas Tree of Books.
