The Knoxville City Council will meet in regular session today.

The meeting will begin with Mayor Brian Hatch and Council Members Megan Suhr and Dylan Morse taking the oath of office. The council will receive a presentation from the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency, as well as consider a resolution to adopt the City of Knoxville Comprehensive Plan. They will review a resolution to authorize the execution of the Public Library Community Action and Tourism (CAT) Agreement with the Enhance Iowa Board. They will look to set the first meeting in January for January 2nd, 2018 as well as set two public hearings for December 18th, which will cover the approval of amendments to the City of Knoxville City Zoning Ordinances,as well as approval of the Floodplain Management Ordinance Amendment. The council will also receive a preliminary budget presentation from City Manager Aaron Adams. The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the Municipal Building Council Chambers.
