The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday.

The board will hold two public hearings, with the first to discuss the disposal of the County Care Facility located at 1111 Newbold Street in Knoxville. The second public hearing will be to discuss a proposed amendment to the floodplain regulations. The purpose of amendment is to update the current ordinance to comply with new National Flood Insurance Program regulations. They will consider a resolution for participation in an opioid epidemic litigation lawsuit. The board will discuss and take possible action regarding the county storage building project located at 3014 East Main Street in Knoxville. They will consider a resolution for the cancellation of Marion County outstanding warrants through June 30th, 2016. They will also consider the reappointment of Karen Ackley to the Marion County Conservation Board as well as John Franey to the Marion County Board of Adjustment and Sally Vander Linden and Sandra Agan to the Marion County Zoning Commission. The board will discuss and take possible action regarding the agreement by and among the City of Pella, Marion County, and Pella Community School District regarding a five year extension of the City of Pella’s Southwest Urban Renewal Area tax increment financing plan. They will then enter a closed session to discuss the purchase or sale of particular real estate. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday and will be held inside the Marion County Courthouse.
