Offense will be the key focus area during winter break practices for the Pella Christian girls basketball team.

The Eagles have scored 50 or more points in all six of their wins this season, but have been held to 30 or less in their three losses. Coach Kevin Van Maanen says that they need to get better in several areas on that end of the floor.

VAN MAANEN ON OFFENSE
“Number one is shooting. I feel like we kind of just rush our shots, we have to make sure to get our feet set better. Our offensive flow has to get better. We have to do a better job of guards feeding the bigs to work that inside out game. We just have to work on getting a better flow.”

The Eagles have already enjoyed a week off for the holidays, and they’ve got a little less than a week to go before returning to action next Tuesday night at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
