The Marion County Board of Supervisors held their annual organizational meeting Tuesday.
Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia began the meeting by asking the board to choose the Board Chair for 2018. Supervisor Mark Raymie was chosen for the position. The board also selected Supervisor Craig Agan as Vice-Chair, approving authorization to sign for official county business. They set official meeting times as well as named the official county newspaper for public notices. The board approved the 2018 maximum depository thresholds as well as approved the Marion County Engineer to execute the certification of completion of work and final acceptance in accordance with plans and specifications in connection with all Farm-to-Market construction projects in Marion County. They set official holidays for Marion County, as well as approved appointments and designated supervisor assignments to various boards and commissions. The board approved the 2018 Marion County Employee Mileage Reimbursement Rate at 54.5 cents per mile and approved Marion County employee health insurance premiums. They also held a closed session in which they authorized Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia and County Attorney Ed Bull to work with the board to develop advertising for the sale of the Marion County Care Facility and established a $5,000 limit.
