The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Tuesday.
The council discussed the job performance of City Attorney Bob Stuyvesant following a request from council member Rick Kingery. The council voted to affirm Stuyvesant as the City Attorney for 2018 on a 4-1 vote. They received an update from the President of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Megan McKay about the current status of the Chamber and their future. McKay stated the Chamber plans to ask the council for additional funding to help with the potential hire of a director. They also approved updating entrance signs for the City of Knoxville. As part of the current fiscal year, the city council had budgeted funds for the new signage.
