The Pella Dutch hosted the Knoxville Panthers in what were action packed and very close matches Saturday afternoon at Pella Excit-A-Bowl, with the green-and-white coming out on top in both.
In boys action, the Dutch topped the Panthers 2,567-2,462. Pella’s Matt De Jong led all bowlers with a 391 two game series and Reid Miller had the matches’ highest single game of 234 en route to a 377 series. Knoxville was led by Tanner Mason who rolled 340 series.
The Lady Dutch won a squeaker in the girls match that took to the final frame of the final Baker game to decide the winner – 1,847-1,841. Kaeleigh DeWaard had a Pella school record 318 series with games of 168 and 150, and Rebekah Fyfe had a new personal best game of 151 on the way to a 242 series. Knoxville’s Lily Cieslak posted a team high 318 series for Knoxville.
