Area high school jazz bands are coming to Pella High School for the state contest this weekend.

Ensembles from Pella, Knoxville, Pleasantville, PCM, Lynnville-Sully, North Mahaska, and Oskaloosa are all performing Saturday for a panel of judges to try and earn a Division I rating. Pella was the only school in the state in 2017 to have three different bands earn the highest-possible rating.
