The Knoxville School Board approved a student fundraiser request for the Knoxville FFA to raise money to work with Meals From the Heartland on March 1st to help package 50,000 meals.
Knoxville School Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News the meals will go towards people in need across the state. Pearson says the 50,000 meals will cost $10,000 and she is hoping that with a grant and help from local businesses and sponsorships the community can come together to help raise the money for the meals.
