The Pella City Council is beginning to look at what it may take to redevelop the city’s Oskaloosa Street corridor.

Pella City Administrator Mike Nardini tells KNIA/KRLS News at policy and planning this week, the council began considering options to move ahead to incentivize economic growth on the southeast side of the community. The city intends to hire a consultant to present options for the best way to fill empty lots and buildings.

Nardini says the council will continue discussion about the Oskaloosa Street corridor redevelopment project later this year.
