For the second time this season, the Central College men’s track and field team took the team crown at a meet on its home turf, winning the four-team Dutch Athletics Classic. And with balanced scoring across all disciplines, the Central women’s track team powered to the team title as well Saturday.

Central’s men came up just short of 200 points, finishing with 198.

With 159.5 team points, the Dutch women gave themselves a 28-point cushion over the second place squad from Division II Truman State University (Mo.).

The freshman trio of Kiki Pingel (Pella), Courtney Kruthoff,and Mary Gray went 1-2-3 in the high jump, with Kruthoff winning at 5-1.75. G

Next on the docket for the Dutch is a trip to Waverly for the Wartburg Select on Saturday.
