The Pella City Council has set their direction for the next two years.

City Administrator Mike Nardini tells KNIA/KRLS News the council discussed their intentions for large-scale initiatives through the end of 2019 at a special work session this week. Nardini says the purpose of the meeting was to take a broad view of the direction of council instead of discussing specific projects. For new initiatives, the council intends to develop an annexation plan, update the city’s master street plan, and begin planning for city facility upgrades at the Public Safety Complex, community center, and library. They will have to approve the two-year plan at an upcoming meeting.
