Representative Guy Vander Linden has announced he will not run for election this fall.

Vander Linden has represented District 79 for eight years.

He said in his weekly newsletter, “I have decided to retire from the Legislature at the end of this term. It has been an honor to serve in the Iowa House, but it is time for me to devote more time to family.”

Vander Linden will serve the remainder of his term until the new House session convenes this coming January.
