Two Ottumwa residents have been arrested in connection to a burglary in Pella.
Mark Wabasha, 48, and Brenda Penelton, 49, were both taken in on warrants this week for charges of 3rd degree burglary, class D felonies, and 4th degree theft. According to court records, the two are accused of breaking in a home on Elk Horn Street last November and stealing backpacks, a cell phone, checkbooks, cash, and other items worth up to $500.
Evidence containing their DNA was also found at the scene according to police, and the homeowners indicated they did not know Wabasha or Penelton.
