A Melcher-Dallas man was arrested on Wednesday for writing numerous bad checks at several locations.

According to court documents Kyle James Anderson, age 32, was charged with six counts of forgery, each a class D felony. Anderson was allegedly in possession of checks that did not belong to him, and wrote checks ranging from $80 to $150 for a total of $610 at two local businesses to be exchanged for cash. Anderson was booked into the Marion County Jail and released on a $5,000 bond. A preliminary trial hearing is scheduled for March 8th.
