Governor Kim Reynolds has announced appointments of three Marion County residents to Iowa’s Boards and Commissions.
Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt was named to the Iowa Drug Policy Advisory Council, which is responsible for making policy recommendations to the appropriate departments concerning the administration, development, and coordination of programs related to substance abuse education, prevention, treatment and enforcement.
Mary Jo Romanco of Pleasantville, a registered nurse and Population Health Manager at Mercy Accountable Care Organization in Des Moines, was appointed to the Iowa Board of Medicine which regulates physicians and surgeons.
And Scott Sales of Pella, owner of Papa’s Barbershop, was named to the Board of Barbering, which establishes rules and regulations to ensure the integrity and competence of licensed barbers and investigates complaints for unprofessional conduct, and also evaluates the qualifications of applicants for licenses.
