The Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball offensive numbers this season were much better than last season. The Saints in 2016/2017 averaged just over 49 points per game, which was 11th in the Bluegrass Conference. This season the Saints averaged jumped by ten points to 59 a game, which was good enough for third best in the BGC. The Saints also rebounded better this season up six boards from last year. On the defensive end, the Saints had 195 steals last year which was just over nine per game, however, this season that number ballooned to 273 pilfers on the season which was just over 14 per game, third in the conference. The Saints also improved greatly in the win total with just four last year, to 11 this season. With his top two scores coming back for next season, Coach Jim Wells expect all of those numbers improve.
