The Pella School Board approved resolutions for all administrators and staff to receive raises for the upcoming fiscal year at a work session this week.
Superintendent Greg Ebeling tells KNIA/KRLS News all teachers will receive a 2.68% increase for salary and benefits in 2019.
Ebeling says the biggest key in providing the boost each year–despite low state aid coming in, is to make sure teachers are moving up in salary at an appropriate rate and so the district remains competitive with others in regards to retaining staff.
Administrators had a 2.3% raise approved, including Ebeling. All hourly and per diem staff also will see a 2.3% bump in pay.
