Pella Christian High School is celebrating the life of a former counselor.

The 11th annual Gene Van Wyk Memorial Run will take place on the morning on Saturday, March 31 at the high school. All proceeds will go towards the Gene Van Wyk Memorial Fund and the Gene Van Wyk Weight Room at Pella Christian. Van Wyk was a long-time counselor at Pella Christian High who passed away from stomach cancer in 1998. Registration is $15 for students or $70 for families by March 19, as fees increase by $5 per event after that date. Find registration details at KNIAKRLS.com.
