The 2017 Iowa Corn for Grain Yield Estimates have arrived, and Marion County produced 185.7 bushels of corn per acre, under the 202 bushels per acre county average for the state.
Marion County is classified as a part of the South Central Region, which overall produced 79 million bushels of corn in 2017 compared to 99 million bushels in 2016. The state of Iowa as a whole also saw corn estimates go down from 2.7 billion in 2016 to 2.6 billion in 2017.
