Despite the uncooperative weather in South Central Iowa this March, that hasn’t stopped the PCM boys’ track team from getting outside in the first few practices of the year.
Head Coach Collin Harrison tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that there are limits to a practice indoors and therefore they try to get outside everyday regardless of weather. He acknowledges that it trains his athletes what to expect in the early part of the season before the warmer weather hits. Harrison adds “The athletes can’t be afraid of the cold and they can’t let it change their mental strength.”
That mental strength will be put to test in their outdoor season opener next Tuesday at East Marshall.
