The anticipation for the track season is no more as the Pella Christian, PCM, and Twin Cedar girls’ teams travel to Albia tonight to kick off the outdoor season.

All three teams have reason for optimism heading into competition. In a program-first indoor meet in Grinnell last week the Eagles had four events claim first place honors. Head Coach of the Mustangs Bridget Martin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the team improved drastically from last season’s indoor meets. Twin Cedars head coach Cam Parker believes the team will make leaps in the conference with an uptick in numbers from years past.

Other teams that will be in attendance include Centerville, Chariton, Davis County, and the host Lady Dees.

The action gets started at 4:30 p.m. tonight at Albia High School.
