Central College hosted a display remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the 50th anniversary of his death Wednesday.
A table with flowers, pins, and information about the civil rights leader of the 1950s and 60s was placed in the Maytag Atrium. The college called King “an advocate for equity and change,” and said “he remains a symbol of hope, courage and determination.”
King visited Central College in March of 1967, and the college holds an annual service and discussion day in January to remember his legacy.
