Registration is now open to volunteer for the first annual Spring into Parks event held on April 22nd hosted by THRIVE Knoxville.
Knoxville Community School District Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News there are several ways to register including online and at the beginning of the event on site. Pearson also says that registering online helps planning for the event, so registering earlier rather than later is helpful. The program involves beautification tasks at Paws & Pals Dog Park, Auld Park and Youngs Park. Towards the end of the day, THRIVE Knoxville will host a picnic dinner and yard games. The program is a family event suitable for all ages. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will also be on location playing music and making announcements.
