The renovation and expansion project at the Knoxville Library will break ground one week from today.
Library board member Dave Garcia tells KNIA/KRLS News a decision made all the way back in 2012 to culminate now in the groundbreaking ceremony could only have been done with community support including an overwhelming vote of confidence with the bond issue passing. Garcia tells KNIA/KRLS News he and the board are so excited that the groundbreaking is finally happening, and they joke that the “hard” work is done. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on April 18th at 5:30pm.
