This week is National Crime Victims Rights Week, a week dedicated to supporting and promoting victims rights and services.
Marion County Victim Witness Coordinators Jeremy Carlson and Krissy Link tell KNIA/KRLS News their job is to help crime victims navigate through the court system and to help provide any resources necessary, ranging from counseling to legal help. Carlson and Link also said despite the severity of some issues that the people they help face, the job is very rewarding and they wouldn’t be doing this job if they didn’t care about people, and that coming to them for help is not a burden.
