A Hamilton man pled guilty to burglary in the 3rd degree and criminal mischief in the 2nd degree on Thursday, both class D felonies, two counts of operating a vehicle without owner’s consent, and driving while suspended.

Court documents show Joshua Goemaat was arrested following an incident that took place in November of 2017 after stealing a vehicle and using it to gain access to a building. Once inside the building the individual entered a 2017 Ford F550 valued at $90,000 and fled the scene in the truck. The plea agreement with the Marion County Attorney’s office will have Goemaat serve 10 years in prison, among other conditions set at a later date.
