The PCM girls’ track team will look to continue to put up big numbers Monday when they travel to Gilbert for a meet.
Through four meets on the season, the Mustangs have posted at least a third place finish in everyone including finishing third at Thursday’s meet at Guthrie Center. Relay events have been a big reason for the Mustang success, as the 4x200m and 4x400m teams are in the top three in class 2A for fastest times posted. Those relays will have to help Monday in the 14-team meet, as the Mustangs will be going up against bigger schools. Head Coach Bridget Martin tells KNIA/KRLS that they expect tough competition, but that is the way it should be and the team welcomes a challenge. PCM will take it to the track at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at Gilbert High School.
The Mustang golf teams will also compete tomorrow with the girls traveling to Bondurant-Farrar and the boys to West Marshall. Both meets are set to tee off at 2 p.m.
