It was a bust day on the links in Oskaloosa on Thursday with area teams involved in the 11-team girls meet.
The Lady Dutch cashed in on an impressive day’s work placing second with a team score of 380 in the 18-hole meet only behind #1 ranked Washington with a 322. It didn’t take long for Brooke Galeazzi to settle in, as she had a hole-in-one on her first shot of the day to pave the way for a runner-up medalist finish, carding an 80. Other scoring for Pella included Lauren Van Wyk with a 93, Ashland James with 102, and Lindsey Roose with 105.
PCM was also in attendance placing fifth with a 413. Head Coach Tony Ford tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls made necessarily adjustments throughout the day and improved on the back nine. Madeline Mitchell paced the Mustangs with a 95 and Sabrina Reed was right behind with a 96. Rounding out the scoring was Alexis Dross with 110 and Gabbi Van Baale with 119.
Knoxville placed 11th with a 496. Faith Hatch paced the Panthers with a 108.
