The Marion County Coalition for Change met on Monday, with the goal of bringing together key members of the community with the purpose to reduce substance abuse and address mental health issues that affect Marion County.
Attending the meeting included drug treatment counselors, law enforcement, healthcare providers, schools, and business owners. Co-Director of the Alliance of Coalitions for Change Angie Asa-Lovstad tells KNIA/KRLS News these types of problems are not solved overnight because they are complex issues that don’t have a single solution; it just takes everyone working together in the same direction to make this type of change happen.
The Alliance of Coalitions for Change is a statewide organization attempting to unifying Iowans to reduce substance abuse.
