Nearly 4,000 diapers were donated to Marion County Public Health from the Knoxville Hy-Vee Monday, capping off their week-long diaper drive.
All last week, diapers were sold e for less than retail value with fuel saver savings attached, with a drop-off event day held Friday with the KNIA/KRLS Little Big Red Radio collecting donations and playing music. Rachel Garner with Marion County Public Health tells KNIA/KRLS News she can’t thank the Knoxville Hy-Vee enough, and it meant so much to see the help they’ve received because residents shouldn’t have to choose between paying bills and providing diapers for their child, and now families have a place to go if they need help. Garner says that the diaper drive is ongoing, and Marion County Public Health is still accepting donations of any brand, size, or style of diapers.
